The New Choice Based Credit System has been introduced in all the colleges of the state from the academic session 2015-16 by the Himachal Pradesh University and it has been approved by the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. In this system 132 credits are necessary for a student to get under graduate degree in any streams i.e. Arts, Commerce & Science. The state Govt. has almost adopted the CBCS as notified and prescribed by UGC and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India. In the present CBCS system every student has to undergo the various courses for the award of their UG Degree. These courses are mandatory for all faculties i.e. Humanities, Commerce & Science.
