Government College Jhandutta was established in 2007 with the H.P. Govt. Notification No. EDN-A-CHHA(7)1/2007 dated Feb. 06, 2007 to provide educational facilities to the students of the far-flung areas, specifically of Kot Dhar. From the session 2016-17 the college is functioning at its own premises. In the New campus the new college building was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh in July 12, 2016 and thereafter the college is functioning in the new campus. From the academic session 2017-18 the science classes have also been started in the college for the undergraduate courses vide HP Govt.
